When the tsd-DLM.exe file is downloaded, the patch or version can be installed on the computer on which WinTree is already installed. This is always the main computer or server. Please read the description on the Installation Introduction page, to determine where the patch or version has to be installed. When in doubt please consult the hardware supplier or the TSD service department.
Start the installation by finding the tsd-DLM.exe file using Windows Explorer and by double-clicking it.
During the installation WinTree must not be started or in use.
By double-clicking the tsd-DLM.exe file an installation wizard is opened.
The first screen in the wizard with which the Setup is executed contains a choice of language.
In the dropdown list select the required language for the setup. Click on [OK].
It takes a while before the next screen in the wizard is shown.
Click on [Next >] to continue. Click on [Cancel] to stop the installation. The installation can be restarted at any moment. Click on [<Back] to go back 1 step in the wizard.
Click on [Install] to start the installation. Ensure a good stable Internet connection is available before starting.
At first the program will download all necessary files to the computer via the Internet. The download speed is strongly dependent on the available Internet connection. If all required files are downloaded, the next screen in the installation wizard will open automatically.
Click on [Next>] to continue the wizard.
If the Internet is too slow or temporarily not available, the download will stop. If this happens you will receive a notification.
Close the notification by clicking on [OK]. To resume the download, click on [Again]. The download will continue from where it left of. With unstable or very slow connections it can be necessary to walk through the download by clicking on [Again] a number of times. Click on [Cancel] to close down the Setup completely. The whole procedure can be restarted later by clicking on tsd-DLM.exe again. If the Internet is too slow, try it again at another time. When all files have been downloaded, the next screen of the setup wizard will be opened.
Click on [Next >]
Keep the Default option selected in the open screen. Use the Advanced option only after consultation with TSD.
Click on [Next >]
In the next screen the correct customer- and dongle number will be shown. This information is obtained from the license data of the WinTree - user. If one of these numbers is empty, it has to be filled in with the correct number. These data have been supplied to the user by TSD. Click on [Cancel] if these numbers are unknown. The Setup is stopped and you need to get in touch with TSD. After the correct data have been supplied by TSD the whole process can be restarted by clicking on the download link.

Click on [Next >]
By default, a shortcut is placed on the desktop for every program which has a license. Uncheck programs that are not required. Shortcuts for unchecked programmes will not be placed on the desktop. You can always start the programs via Windows - > All apps -> TSD IT BV.
Click on [Next >]
By default, all shortcuts which have been set up in the previous step will become available for all Windows-users. Only select the option 'Current user' if the shortcuts only need to appear on the desktop of the logged in Windows user. This can be useful if, for example, the computer is also used for other business purposes. Other users will have their own Windows login data.
Click on [Next >]
In the next screen all previous settings are shown in an overview. Please check these settings. If necessary, use [< Previous] to go back to the wizard and change the settings.
Click on [Install] to install the new version on the computer.
The necessary files will then be downloaded. Clicking on [Hide] does not hide the wizard. It only hides the detail data in the screen. Click on [Details] to display the detail data again.
The green progress bar tells you which installation process is being executed. If the version update is fully completed the last screen of the wizard will be displayed.
In this screen you will find two checkboxes which will execute an action when you click on [Finish].

Conversion
After a new version is installed, the used company files will have to be converted to the new version. During a conversion your company file will be changed in order to work with the new version. This concerns changes in the structure of the file and the interlinkages. During conversion company-specific data that is stored in the company file will never be changed.
Every used company file and therefore also history databases will have to be converted. The conversion of a company file is carried out automatically the moment the company file is opened for the first time following the installation of the new version. For extra security, ensure a backup of the company file is made before the execution of the conversion. After the conversion has been completed, a notification of completion is shown. Depending on the size of the company file, the conversion can take between 5 to 60 minutes.
Close this notification by clicking [OK]. WinTree is opened and you can now use the newest functionalities. (See the What is New document for an extended description of the latest innovations).
Webshop-connection
If the WinTree module 128, Webshop 2.0 is active, please get in touch with TSD before downloading the version. Together with TSD you can determine how the version must be installed. Changes may have to be made to the Webshop in order for the connection to function properly after the installation.
Once the Setup is started, an extra notification will be shown in the screen.
Click on [Yes] only after consultation with TSD. Click on [No] to close the wizard. The version is not installed and you can continue working with the previous version in WinTree.
