A growing group of buyers of nursery articles are or must be more environmentally aware. This makes them set higher requirements to the producers. The producers must show that their products are produced environmentally-friendly. There is a big range of quality marks available. MPS, Eco-label and EKO-mark but also CleanPlants are a few examples of quality marks that are used by nurseries. For the buyers of the products it is then visible that the products are grown according to a certain quality mark.
Together with the 'Stichting Milieukeur' and the association 'Duurzame Boomkwekers Nederland' TSD has made a 'manage Quality Mark' function in WinTree. With this function it is possible to indicate per stock location that on that location the growing of plants is done sustainably. Next to this, it is possible, in case also purchasing is done via WinTree, to enter if the supplier grows and delivers according to the quality mark. Per customer can be set if the customer expects sustainably grown plants. This function can be used by all WinTree users.
Before quality marks can be used from WinTree, first an amount of parameters and settings need to set up correctly. Read the explanation below and follow the steps to use the quality marks without problems.
Read the manual Parameters on how to set up the following parameters:
| 1643 |
Blockage for allocation in case the customer is set up for sustainable deliveries. *) |
0 = No, no blockage 1 = Yes, blockage |
| 1638 |
Use quality marks. This parameter can also be set up via the program settings. |
0 = No 1 = Yes |
*) This parameter can be set up in such a way that when allocating sales lines or delivery lines only the stock batches are shown that matches the quality mark that is set at the customer.
In the Program Settings, tab page "Registrations" can be indicated if the function Quality marks has to be used. This setting will be saved in parameter 1638.
In the Basic information -> Other -> Quality Marks the list with the quality marks to use is entered. Read the description for entering this List with Quality marks.
Is also the module Location Management-(I) (Module number 66) used then there can also be indicated per location if a quality mark is applicable. All batches that are booked on that location, automatically get the quality mark of the location. Read the description of the basic information Locations for setting up the quality marks per location.
Per customer has to be set if plants grown according to a quality mark have to be delivered. Per customer there can be one or more codes of the quality marks be entered. Read for this the manual Maintain customers.
If the module Purchase (module number 65) is used then per supplier can be indicated if the supplier delivers plants according to a certain quality mark. Per supplier there can be one or more codes of the quality marks entered. Read for this the manual Maintain suppliers.
Per stock batch one or more quality marks can be entered. This can be done via the tab page "Registrations" in the menu Stock control.
In case the module Location management (I) (module number 66) is used, the quality marks, entered at the Basic information Locations, will be taken over per batch. The quality marks can still be altered per batch.
In case by the supplier is set that they can deliver products with a quality mark, then every new purchase line will also be linked to this quality mark. This quality mark is visible in the details of a purchase line. Here the quality mark, taken over from the supplier information, can be altered. Here 'None' can be selected if the purchase batch does not need to get the quality mark.
In case working with the order entry window then a dropdown list is available on the tab page "Batch".
In case the module 86, Trade Function (II) (Purchase offers) is active, then every new line will also get the quality mark from the supplier information.
When booking a sales order it does not become visible that it is a sales order in which the customer requires sustainably grown plants. Later when allocating it will become visible.
In the title of the allocation window is shown that it is about a sustainable delivery. There can just be allocated on the shown batches. At the shown batches it is not visible which quality mark is linked to it.
When allocating sales- or delivery lines, the set up value of parameter 1643 is used. In case this parameter has a value of 0 then when allocating sales or delivery lines for a customer that requires sustainably grown plants, there can be allocated to all stock batches available in WinTree. By setting the parameter to value 1, only the stock batches with the quality mark will be shown.
The following documents are provided with an extra line of information over the selected quality mark:
- Delivery note
- Invoice
On the delivery note and invoice below the botanical name the following text will come in case a quality mark is used: (@ X selected quality mark). @ is the amount of the line.
In case the used quality mark also has to be used on of the following labels, then a field has to be added by TSD. Please contact TSD for this.
- Order picking/call-up label (every type of label)
- Sales label (every type of label)
- Delivery picking/call-up label (every type of label)
- Delivery label (every type of label)
In case from WinTree a company logo is printed, it is possible to expand this logo with the quality mark logo. TSD can assist in the altering of the company logo. Keep in mind with this:
- The work related to altering the current logo will be charged based on the hourly rate.
- A complete logo (including numbers) must be delivered. TSD only places a complete quality mark-logo in the existing company logo. TSD will not alter quality mark logos.
- In case the current company logo contains black-white/grey shades, the quality mark must also be delivered in black-white/grey.
It is also possible to print the quality mark logo on labels.
Keep in mind with this:
- The work related to altering the current logo will be charged based on the hourly rate.
- A complete logo (including numbers) must be delivered. TSD only places a complete quality mark logo in existing lay-outs. TSD will not alter the quality mark logos.
- The printer, on which the labels have to be printed, needs to graphically driven. The work related to setting up graphically printing will be charged based on the hourly rate.
Every WinTree-user can make use of the function Quality Marks. TSD is not responsible for incorrect or illegal use of a quality mark. The WinTree-user is responsible for the correct and legal use of quality marks in combination with WinTree.
